Welcome to our school year
Time flies when you’re having fun — and a year at The Montessori School of Hamilton is proof. From the first day in September to the final Father’s Day picnic in June, our calendar balances routine, celebration, and discovery.
Dr. Maria Montessori reminded us that human potential begins within the hands of the child. Our school-year calendar gives those hands plenty to do: seasonal trips, book fairs, family nights, and quiet days for learning through play.

Parent Information Nights
Parent Information Nights are open houses for families interested in the programs our school has to offer. We hold several each year so you can experience the Montessori approach firsthand. An experienced Montessori teacher guides you through the principles and methods behind the classroom, helping new and familiar parents discover the secret of childhood. These evenings are by appointment only and are usually held on Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m.

Inclement Weather & School Closings
When winter weather becomes hazardous and makes driving dangerous, please do not bring your child to school. The safety of your children and family comes first.
School closings and delays are announced on local radio and TV stations — specifically 94.5 FM WPST and NJ101.5 FM. Because we are unable to call each family individually, please watch or listen for the announcements. This is especially important on days when school may close early.
If you have not been reached by 2:00 p.m. on an inclement-weather day, please call the school. You can also check the NJ101.5 FM station website for closing and delay announcements. An updated calendar for the school year is always available on the school website.
