“The things he sees are not just remembered; they form a part of his soul.” — Maria Montessori
A message from Toula Karnavas, Education Director: The Montessori School of Hamilton is proud to announce Explore Your World Summer Fun with Extreme Kids Summer Camp. New ideas and electives wait every week. Activities are built to enhance and stimulate your child’s natural desire to build skills and knowledge, and the curriculum is designed from your child’s own questions and curiosities—they ask for it, we bring it. Camp connects children with nature, science, art, sports, and fitness through two tracks: Explore Your World (nature and environmental sciences) and Extreme Kids (integrating Science 4 Kids, Kids in Motion cardio-sports programs, Fit Kids classes, and Wacky Workshops). Every session is crafted to create insightful, enriching experiences in a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Campers join age-appropriate groups for fun and challenging indoor and outdoor activities tied to weekly themes. Theme weeks carry into Wacky Workshops and nature encounters of the closest kind: hikes to the stream, pond, Fern Brook Organic Farm, Howell Living History Farm, and the Stony Brook Watershed, plus outdoor skill building, insect safaris, and nature hunt explorations. Families can register for individual weeks across the summer, and campers may also register for individual workshops or electives.

Nature walks at a toddler’s pace, puddle jumping, critter spotting, and garden play.

Trail hikes, pond life, animal workshops, and Little Sprouts gardening.

Extreme Kids electives from radical science and cooking to hip-hop, mosaics, and Doom Buggy Derby.

Camp hours are 7 AM–6 PM, Monday through Friday. Choose from nature exploration, wet-and-wild play, animals and wildlife, hands-on natural art, and garden discovery.
Extreme Kids campers explore a radical science program built from the best science experiments, woven into every week’s theme. A Science 4 Kids show happens weekly. Wiz Kids, Mini-Explorers, and Jr. Engineers lead the way, while science experiments are integrated into Kids Cuisine classes, nature and wildlife curriculum, gardening and composting, Cardio Kids classes, Fit Kids health and body-awareness sessions, and Wood Shop & Mad Machines. Children experience science as never before.

Outdoor fun and splash days are paired with age-specific fitness, art, science, and cooking electives.

Swim in Motion runs throughout the summer program. In addition to fun and wacky splash days, we coordinate a swimming day at the YMCA. Children swim in the indoor Olympic-size pool under a trained, certified swim instructor. Choose swimming lessons, a full hour of free swim, or a combination—half-hour lessons plus half-hour free swim. Complete the attached swim form and return it with fees by Wednesday, June 26th. NEW! Every Wednesday morning starting July 3rd, from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, with lunch back at school afterward. Swimming days incorporate activities proven to increase cardiovascular fitness, gross motor control, muscle tone, coordination, reaction time, self-esteem, and confidence.

Select the option that fits your child and return the swim form with fees by Wednesday, June 26th.
Our team is happy to help you find the right summer experience for your child.
