Every baby arrives as a unique little person, ready to be cared for and nurtured. Our first job is to provide the security and loving care that lets infants thrive — along with the undivided attention they deserve.
A Montessori Starting Point
Maria Montessori put it simply: “Never let the child risk failure until he has a reasonable chance of success.” That conviction shapes every classroom at The Montessori School of Hamilton — a place where a child is invited to reach just far enough, practice, and feel the pride of genuine accomplishment.
From the security an infant finds in loving care to the confidence a primary child carries into “take off,” children here grow at their own perfect pace — learning that sticks because it starts inside the child.
Programs by Age
Toddler Program
Now is the time for discovery! The wonders of the world await while their imagination and curiosity lead them. This class is geared to a toddler’s size, pace, and curiosities — a special community where children feel they belong. They build confidence as they master daily tasks in practical life.
Primary Program
That chance of success is found in this class. Primary children build on the foundation laid down in pre-primary and get ready to “take off.” Each child is supported to develop spiritually, physically, and intellectually, and to excel in school and beyond.

Beyond the School Day
After-School Program
Art projects, playing outdoors, circle time, and more — an afternoon that keeps childhood at the center.
Enrichment Program
A menu of enrichment classes for every age, from Baby and Me to Cardio Kids.
Summer Fun Program
The Summer Fun Program heads outdoors to take advantage of the wonderful weather, with nature as the theme, exercise as the aim, and inspiration, discovery, and fun as the goals. Ages 1–3 join the Discoverers Club, ages 3–6 the Explorers Club, ages 6–9 the Junior Builders Club/Adventurers Club, and ages 9–12 the Adventurers Club/Junior II Achievers Club.
